Almost a month?!

I can't believe that it's been almost a month since I've posted. I think I've been more of a reader than a poster lately. Life has been busy- we traveled to PA for Paul's family reunion, last weekend we traveled to NJ for a Rett Syndrome appointment, plus work and life have been happening.

Update on the kids: Kaila is doing well, still having some off days here and there but we started a new medicine and it seems to be helping. Kinley is crawling everywhere getting into everything. She does the cutest things like when you take something away from her she sticks her arms out, hands into a fist and yells at you. She is stubborn- wonder where she gets that from?!

Got a new MAC- love it! Didn't love the price but love the lightness of it. It doesn't take that much getting use to either- it's pretty easy to use. even for someone who has never used a MAC.

Oh I sell Creative Memories now :) I love to scrapbook and I love their products but I hate paying full price so I really signed up for the discount but I also love to share scrapbooking with others so I have had 1 get together so far. I hope to have more. The only problem with being a consultant is that my living room is full of all of the new products and if you've been to my house you know that I have a small living room that isn't big enough for our family let alone a bunch of scrapbooking items.

I am loving being a IRSF (International Rett Syndrome Foundation) Regional Rep and a Family Advisory Board Member. It is rewarding to help other families in the smallest of ways. I enjoy meeting these other parents (although I'm sad that it is under such circumstances).

Oh- I know what I almost forgot- I'm starting back to school! I'm hopefully starting back next month for my Bachelors in Social Work. I am already in the Human Service field and I have always wanted to be a counselor of some kind so it is high time I get back to school. This will be really crazy and hard to manage but it is necessary to get where I want to be and to make a better life for my family. I love to learn and I would be a student for the rest of my life if I could be so hopefully the homework won't get me down.

I think that's all for now, I'll try not to be a stranger. I think Kinley needs to start her own blog-she has lots to say. I'll see if I have time for that soon. Till next time- oh and thanks for following me (the 3 of you :)!

It's been a while- I know!

So much has been going on! Where to start... Well Kaila is loving summer school or so it seems. She is on a new medicine to help her behaviors (it's now the weekend so we'll see if it is really helping), the doctor tried to tell me that I would have to place her in a home in 3-5 years (yuck to that doctor's way of thinking- although I like the doctor as a doctor), and Kaila is growing up - she would hate me for putting this out there but I noticed some under arm odor so I had to rush and get her deodorant- she's 8 what the heck?!

Kinley's updates are just as exciting- she is almost crawling, she gets on all fours and then rocks back and forth, when she wants something she yells at you if she doesn't get it, she steals bottles from the other kids at daycare, she makes me laugh every day with her excitement for life and electronics, she loves music and now rocks on her butt when music starts.

Oh we had family pics taken a couple of weeks ago (I'll post the link). I really need to decide on what photos I want, I can't decide on Kinley because well she's stinkin' cute!

I made 2 bandana dresses that I might post pics of soon but then I held them up to Kinley and I could wrap them around her so maybe she can wear them next year but I probably won't be able to find them by then!

All my friends are moving! Some closer some further away. I have the house itch real bad but we're waiting until next year.

I want to have gastric-bypass! I exercised hard core and watched what I ate and guess what, I didn't lose an ounce :( I have to wait to have the surgery though until I have another child. Paul won't let off the hook on that one :)

I signed up to be a Creative Memories Consultant - I mean it was $22, I love scrapbooking supplies, and I'm gonna give it a try! I am currently doing a fundraiser for Rett Syndrome with a Creative Memories event so that is exciting! I'll probably spend more than I make but oh well!

I want to go back to school for my degree in Social Work but when will I find the time? I have two small children, work full time, I am a co-rep for NY for Rett Syndrome, I am a Family Advisory Board Member for International Rett Syndrome Foundation, and I want time to do crafts. I'm not sure how this will happen but I really want to try school. There are some programs that require one night in class so that might be doable now that I'm married. Paul would be willing to help, before I had to go to online school because I couldn't go to a classroom.

Oh you'll notice some annoying ads now- just trying to see if it drives in any money- an experiment. Oh and I've noticed that I use the - (dash) a lot and the smiling/frowning faces.

I know there is other stuff but my brain is fried so I'm going to go for now. Here is the link to the pictures:

Need more hours in the day

Seriously- I need a lot more hours in the day. I need at least 8 hours to sleep but it's impossible with all of the things that I have to with the two girls so instead I get like 5-6 hours. I'm exhausted all the time and I hate that feeling.

I didn't workout today but I plan on getting back to it tomorrow so that means I should go to bed early if I plan on getting up at 6:30.

On a more random note-

Things I currently love:
My family (obviously)
Strawberry Shortcake (the dessert not character)
My iPhone
The nice weather

Things I am not so fond of:
Jillian Michaels
Never having adult time with my hubby
Crying/whining (from my kids)
Some aspects of work (too much paperwork)
Doctors who don't listen to me about my daughter
When my hubby falls asleep on the couch at 8 but can stay out till 11:30 with his friends!

I think that about covers it for today. Once again nothing exciting just a place to dump!

All in a day

Well yesterday I had to take Kaila to the eye doctor and it wasn't a daycare day so I took Kinley too. That was my first mistake (taking both girls). I had called the office the day before and reminded them that Kaila doesn't do well waiting so please get us in and out. They moved our appointment up to 9 so we would be the first appointment. When we got there 3 other people signed in with the same doctor at the same time as us. We sat in the main waiting room and watched all of the other families get called. 9:30 arrives and Kaila starts to get loud so I tell them that she is starting to get upset so they got someone to take her back to the second waiting area. We got called in and did a brief update and then she went in to see the doctor who tested her (as much as you can with a child who can't speak). They decided to dialate her eyes and then told me we would have to wait for 20 minutes. This is where the fun began. Kaila, Kinley and I sat in this tiny waiting area with two other adults, 3 children (one of whom used a wheelchair). Kaila started to get upset and when I say upset I mean the worst temper tantrum anyone has ever seen. Kaila has learned how to do this high pitched, blood curdling, someone is pulling my eyeballs out of my head scream. She started to do this and then Kinley copied her (In fact one of the Mom's who was being seen asked on her way out if my baby was copying her big sister). I think people were pretending to go to the bathroom so they could come and see what the screaming was all about. This blood curdling screaming went on for about 30 minutes. At one point I started laughing because I was so embarrassed. The doctor finally came out and told me that we had to go in the exam room because her screaming was upsetting the other kids- ya think?! It then took 3 of us to hold her (she was on my lap) while he looked in her eyes. Guess what- they look great and we'll see you in 3 years (could that be because he hopes that by then she has outgrown the screaming phaze?)

So we get to the van and guess what? Kaila starts laughing hysterically and laughs all the way to school while I don't talk to her because I had just been humiliated in front of a ton of people. Oh and Kaila had a wonderful day at school and was happy all day. Seriously?!

Oh and I did my second day of Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and as I turned the tv off I told her how much I hated her :) I'm sure she doesn't care and I'm not the only one who says that but she is really mean and kicks my a**. I mean I get up at 6:30 in the morning to see her mug and she just tells me to work harder-blah to you Jillian- guess what you won't be seeing me tomorrow morning. I need a break from you Jilly!

Today I went to work and that was boring except for the part where I was getting things ready (like making bottles) and Kinley screamed the whole time. This is one needy little girl. She normally says "mama" but because I didn't come and pick her right up she started saying "dada" what a trader! I was making and cleaning bottles, I wasn't lounging by a pool!

Oh my new guilty pleasure- my M.E.time (Mindless Entertainment)- I have started watching Tori and Dean and I love it. I have to say that during the first 90210 days I didn't really like Tori because her boobs looked weird but now they still look weird but she seems pretty down to earth and her husband is hunky (a typical man with sex on his mind all the time but hunky no less).

Other things on my mind- I have a list as long as my arm of things I need/should be doing but here I sit on the computer instead. I also really wish I could get the new iPhone with video but since I just got a new iPhone in February I can't :(

Oh one of Kaila's staff people gave her notice yesterday so oh fun interviewing, hiring, and training begin again. Just when everything was settling in.

I'm also a bit sad that we can't buy a house this year, it is a great year to buy but I am crossing my fingers that the 8,000 credit stays in place for part of next year.

Well that was probably pretty boring to read- sorry!

How exciting, I have my first follower so Thank you for following me and my crazy life!

My First Post!

Welcome to my new blog!

So I decided to create my own blog- I mean everyone's doing it! You're probably wondering about the name- well I've never had many nicknames (at least ones that I could live with) so when my friends Jim and Sue gave me this one it stuck.

I created this blog because I have a lot of things going on in my life. I have ups, downs, rants, raves, well you get the picture. This will probably be the place that I come to dump my stuff and move on- cheaper than a therapist- and minimal feedback.

I will try and keep this up to date- at least a couple of times a week!
